Blockprinted Winter Holiday card for 2022, featuring my first attempt at two color printing. Unexpectedly, the metallic gold ink was very difficult to work with and I ended up mixing it with matte colored inks to make it easier to use, which also turned the gold a bit dark

Blockprinted card to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Tiger (February 2022).

After years of printing my digital art for holiday cards, in 2021, I decided to try my hand at blockprinting. This was my first attempt in November of 2021.

My Lunar New Year card for the Year of the Rabbit (Jan 2023) was designed simultaneously with my 2022 Winter Holiday card, thus also featuring two color printing with mixed gold ink. I carved the blocks while sick and made a lot of errors that I tried to fix retroactively.

A side project I began in October 2020 during the pandemic, to see if I could design, illustrate, and rig a live 2D vtuber avatar entirely on my own. Fortunately there are many online resources to learn this on one's own, and I had friends with streaming experience to help me.

Since the username I use for most things is "eggloaf," I used that visual image as a starting point for my avatar’s design. While sketching, I had a concept of "a girl trapped in limbo between the living and the dead, with a pair of ghosts to keep her company," and thus the egg ghosts were born. However, I when I streamed I did so casually and didn’t assume the guise of a fictional character or persona.

I initially sketched my designs in Clip Paint Studio, taking inspiration from modernized hanfu fashion, created the final assets in Adobe Illustrator, then reassembled the individual parts in Live2D Cubism for rigging.

Some gifs to test my rigging work in Live2D Cubism. This was my first time using the program, and I referenced multiple tutorial resources online for guidance. The two right gifs were recorded while I was still rigging, and the left gif was a simulation in the software to see the animation possibilities of my work.

Simple looping animation for when the stream is being set up or something needs to be fixed.

Unfortunately the streaming hobby was short-lived, and the eggtuber is yet to be seen again.

Stickers for the LINE communication app, based on a character I designed who is a buff bee man with a little rabbit friend. The stickers have been available for purchase since 2018.

For Perfume’s 2019 Future Pop tour in North America, I designed a flyer that was handed out to attendees of the Los Angeles concert. The back features the lyrics to Perfume’s “Macaroni,” which the audience sang together at the end of the show.
